St. John’s Cathedral Stairway
Boise, Idaho
A labor of love, INSIGHT completely renovated both sets of stairways for St. John’s Cathedral. The grand staircase has an enlarged platform at the top of the steps, befitting the elegant structure behind. The tread of the stairs was lengthened and the rise shortened to make climbing less difficult. The brass-relief sculptures at the base of the stairs contain three scenes from the Gospel of St. John: the Wedding at Cana, the Washing of the Feet, and the Race to the Tomb, provided by local artist Michael Denté.
